When our clients “fail”, meaning they can’t complete the set or lift their target weight, we have them ring the bell. Failure is the goal. It means you’re challenging yourself and in those challenging reps, you’re growing.
I have many clients who just can’t push themselves that hard. If you can, be proud. You’ll progress is ways those who take it easier can’t.
Seeing results in strength training isn’t about how much you lift compared to anyone else. It’s about how much you challenge yourself. It’s about progressing (“progressive overload” is the training term).
Challenge yourself every time you’re in the studio, and you’ll see results!
